A Day at the Park

The weather has been F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S for mid-August! Unbelievable actually! It's usually unheard of to go to the park mid-summer around here, but the past week or so temps have been perfect. Saturday was even a bit overcast, highs in the lower 80's. If you were to ask Ella Beth "How about that?" Her reply would be... "PERFECT!"

The past 2 weeks have been filled with long days and sicky girls, and they haven't been bad sick, but did I mention whinny? Whew! More than this mom can handle! You know, the usual, a little puke for Kaeley, and a nasty, nasty cold for Ella. And of course, then a cold for Kaeley too! We don't always share our toys well, but germs...that's a different story! Needless to say, we needed a family outing! Saturday morning, Greg played in a volleyball tournament...last year, I think they took 1st place. This year, well, we shouldn't talk about it, not too good! After the tournament, we made it a park day! The girls would both live at the park! When it was time to leave Ella said "Hey, where we going guys?" She was none too happy! But you can tell from the grins on her face that she had a blast while we were there. And she loves to go to the park to see all the puppies that people have out for walks. Kaeley spent most of her time on the... well, you know, the SWINGS! She had to show off her new talent to daddy. Ella's new trick is "flying" on the swing. It was a fun day!
