We took a little trip to Gatlinburg and spent a 4 day weekend with Mimi and my grandparents, who we call "Nan and Pop". It was HOT! But we had a great time. We don't all get to spend much time together except during the Christmas holiday and that's just a crazy time of year!
Here's some pictures to recap the weekend...

This is the little stream that our balcony overlooked. Very quite and peaceful. One night before bed, the girls wanted to go on a walk with Mimi. So here's Mimi & her girls...
Mimi and me...
Kaeley striking a pose...
One day we decided a picnic would be nice so we were in search of a picnic table. We had just come from shopping in Pigeon Forge and drove all the way to the Chimney's before we found a picnic area. It's beautiful up there. I would like to go back in the fall when the leaves change.
The girls...Nan in the pool...
Not sure what you call this, but it looks like me and the girls are going to attack Mimi!
Ella Beth loving life in her floatie...
The day of our picnic, we went back to the room early so we decided to go back out that night. We did a little shopping and took the girls to ride some rides. Ella was thrilled with the idea until she found out mommy couldn't ride the rides. She likes them, but it's a little scary without mommy. Here's a good picture of Nan and Pop in front of the carousel.
And here is Ella right after I had to have them stop the swings that you see in the background to get her off. She was screaming! I mean screaming! Wanted to ride, but no mommy - what?!? Kaeley took her place on the ride. You can see her there on the left.
And I just thought this was so sweet. They don't often want to hold hands. Ella was scared of the rides, and they're standing here waiting to ride a mini-ferris wheel. Kaeley had already been on it once and Ella wouldn't ride. After Kaeley got off, she wanted to ride again, so here they are in line and my little Ella is trying to be brave holding Kaeley's hand. It just didn't work - Kaeley ended up riding again by herself.
This was on the way back home, we stopped at a restaurant that had an indoor carousel, the Flying Horse, I think. So we all took a little ride. Here's Mimi and her girls...
